Executive Assistant, Senior

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling for a Booz Allen vice president located in Booz Allen’s Herndon and Mclean offices. Perform a variety of complex and routine administrative and secretarial duties with minimal or no supervision, including comprehending written and oral guidance and policies and executing independent decisions within established guidelines. Comprehend the clients that the vice president and team serve on a daily basis to better assist with managing competing priorities on the executive’s time. Be a self-starter and ask direct and candid questions, seek clarity when needed, anticipate and independently resolve scheduling conflicts where possible, and integrate into an established team of seasoned administrative professionals. Perform a full range of administrative responsibilities, including organizing a local travel schedule, scheduling and deconflicting meetings, answering calls, and completing expense reports. Display and execute intent for self-improvement, serving the client’s mission, being part of a team, paying strict attention to detail in composing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting evolving deadlines. Leverage network and resources to accomplish objectives effectively, participate in or lead firm or team initiatives, as needed, and take the initiative to improve operations and office conditions within established guidelines.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with senior executive-level administrative support in a large corporate environment

-Experience with calendar management, scheduling domestic travel arrangements, and maintaining expense reports

-Experience with creating and disseminating executive communications and social media tools to communicate messages to a team of 1,500+

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook at an expert level

-Ability to provide seamless support to local and virtual senior-level executives and be self-motivated

-Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team to achieve business goals

-Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

-Ability to proofread for grammar and punctuation with a high level of accuracy

-Ability to interact effectively with internal and external senior-level executives and their assistants in a professional manner

-Ability to proactively anticipate business and administrative needs

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with providing senior executive-level support in a management consulting firm

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including message and content creation

-BA or BS degree
