Executive Assistant

Key Role:

Perform secretarial and administrative duties for SES-level clients and executives. Perform duties of a highly confidential nature. Conduct work that requires intuitive judgment to relieve the SES of administrative details, including supplying requested information, scheduling appointments, preparing special reports, and obtaining information from sources within or outside of the company. Use expertise in technical and business vocabulary and detailed knowledge of company operations, organizational procedures, and personnel continuously. Make independent decisions regarding planning, organizing, and scheduling work within established guidelines.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience in supporting a senior official with logistics, travel planning, execution, and reporting

-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and learning and using the government travel system

-Experience in coordinating meetings and briefings with multiple high-level participants and working with government allotments, commitments, and obligations

-Experience with analyzing the development of SOPs and the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs)

-Ability to arrange detailed travel logistics and work with multiple offices to secure desired arrangements and ensure compliance with federal and S&T rules and regulations

-Secret clearance required

-HS diploma or GED required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with financial systems and the government's Concur travel system

-Experience in working with DHS offices

-Experience as an executive assistant working at the DHS or other government agency

-Knowledge of the current DHS structure and appropriate points of contact, including directors and executive assistants

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
