Executive Secretariat

Key Role:

Support and manage executive secretariat functions to implement human capital IC policies and initiatives based on congressionally directed actions (CDA), Presidential Policy Directives (PPD), and Intelligence Community Directives. Plan, schedule, and execute both working and executive level meetings, preparing materials, and reserving meeting space. Exhibit strong interpersonal and writing expertise and a familiarity with the roles and missions of the intelligence community. Take detailed notes and provide accurate accounting of organizational priorities to measure progress towards enterprise wide objectives.  

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience in working with or for the intelligence and national security communities

-Knowledge of broader strategic issues facing the IC and US foreign and national security policy communities

-Knowledge of IC policy, governance, missions, functions, and activities

-Knowledge of the client's major management processes

-Ability to engage in discussions of controversial issues and summarize varying viewpoints to reach a consensus

-Ability to evaluate strategic trends, strategy and implementation plans, and results and programmatic data and propose innovative solutions

-Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining strict attention to detail

-Ability to identify challenges facing the IC and obstacles to their effective resolution

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-15+ years of experience with working in one or more of the following categories: executive secretariat, staff officer, or action officer

-Experience with facilitation a plus

-Experience with performance management and assessment a plus

-Experience with developing graphics, PowerPoint presentations, and Excel spreadsheets

-Experience with Human Capital or Human Resource at a large IC or DoD agency

-Knowledge of the IC’s legal and policy framework, including comprehension of PPDs, ICDs, and related policy guidance a plus

-Knowledge of enterprise–wide issues and challenges facing the IC from a senior management perspective

-Ability to be adaptable and flexible enough to perform a range of tasks and collaborate with many different offices across the client organization, the IC, and the US

-Ability to comprehend and analyze governance, business, technical, and functional requirements and translate them to a variety of audiences, including non–technical audiences a plus

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent editorial, research, and analysis skills, including articulating complex intelligence issues to a wide audience

-Possession of excellent critical thinking and strategic planning skills, including proposing new ideas, concepts, and processes
