Expeditionary Communications Planner

Key Role:

Provide technical and analytical support in areas relating to Command and Control (C2), planning, implementing, and executing a Combat Communications Group (CCG) mission, including support of developmental and implementation tools and procedures. Apply models, methodologies, emerging technologies, and advanced processes across the spectrum of Cyberspace operations. Develop plans to resolve complex challenges. Facilitate collective problem-solving, analysis, and implementation of new solutions and best practices. Perform research to aid in the design of relevant, accurate, and realistic planning materials that result in improved organizational mission performance. Report analysis resulting from exercise and operational events, compared to pre-established baseline standards, to improve organizational preparedness to achieve missions.

Basic Qualifications:

-3 years of experience with exercise planning, design, and execution support, including training objectives and exercise scenarios with coordination or collaboration across multiple organizations

-3 years of experience with developing Master Scenario Event Lists (MSELs) based on Mission Essential Tasks (METs) and documenting lessons learned into the Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS), including assessing and documenting current operations, contingency operations, deployments, and redeployments through direct field observations, measurements, meetings, briefings, and reports

-3 years of experience with developing, advising, assessing, updating, and improving training programs with an emphasis on Cyber concepts

-3 years of experience with maintaining a training program, including determining deficiencies and developing appropriate corrective actions, such as developing, updating, and maintaining training documents, such as Training Task Lists, training schedules, formal and operational training guidance, and training implementation plans

-2 years of experience with combat or expeditionary communications capabilities, operational planning processes or methodologies, operational reporting, readiness reporting, and operational capabilities assessment

-2 years of experience with maintaining status of reporting using Status of Resources and Training System (SORTS) and Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS), including analyzing readiness and providing recommendations on training curriculum for inclusion into training pipelines and crew certification standards, such as industry-recognized certifications to minimize and eliminate SORTS or DRRS deficiencies

-Experience with assessing current and emerging capabilities to meet established requirements, including providing research, analysis, and development of best practices for integration into existing capabilities, identifying capability gaps or shortfalls and recommended solutions, identifying trends to determine the health of operations, including requisition fill rates, unit manning levels, and position qualifications

-TS/SCI clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-BA or BS degree in IT Planning or Operational Planning related field
