Facilities Civil Engineer

Key Role:

Serve as a professional civil engineer, performing operations and maintenance (O&M) engineering duties in support of a military installation. Perform O&M engineering involving design and construction that encompasses the maintenance, repair, upgrade, and operation of infrastructure facilities, including utility systems, using a professional knowledge of civil engineering. Inspect or survey facilities to identify deficiencies for incorporation into the infrastructure maintenance plan to counteract the aging of infrastructure facilities or utilities. Review architecture and engineer (A&E) contract and in-house designs for future construction, renovations, improvements to determine structural compatibility, maintainability, and functionality. Provide civil engineering support to trades and crafts shops. Provide oversight or assistance in the determination of the requirements and frequencies for the Recurring Work Program (RWP). Use computers or computer software, including information management programs, computer aided design and drafting (CADD) programs, and project tracking programs to solve engineering problems and facilitate work.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with managing construction projects

-Knowledge of DOD installations

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree in Engineering or Construction Management

-Professional Engineer (PE) Certification 

Additional Qualifications:

-Ability to use platforms, including REVIT, Tableau, Power BI, ArcMap, AutoCAD, and Infraworks

-Ability to use TRIRIGA to conduct project management

-Knowledge of developing AF 3064, AF 3065, AF 103, AF 813, Environmental Analysis, AF IMT 3000s, DD1354, AF 332, DD 1391, and all other project related documents

-Ability to prepare cost estimates using excel or e4 clicks

-Ability to use AutoCAD for drawing updates
