Facilities Communications Systems Engineer

Key Role:

Perform multidisciplinary professional engineering work involving the application of electronics, mechanical, or aerospace engineering disciplines to determine the business and technical needs of customers in the acquisition, development, or sustainment of weapon systems, sub-systems, support systems, or equipment items. Plan and carry out assignments for projects concerning communication systems, including interacting with other engineering specializations and considering the life cycle of items or systems. Apply a number of diverse engineering practices, techniques, and processes to identifying and resolving difficult issues and ensure resolutions are consistent with program objectives, existing policies, and procedures. Coordinate the various phases of work with other functional disciplines and interpret or translate engineering requirements into design characteristics and criteria. Formulate and explain recommendations or solutions to modify standard practices, equipment, devices, processes, and techniques. Maintain responsibility for project or program management to determine the business and technical needs of customers. Plan, organize, and develop program management techniques and determine organizational structure, personnel, training, and security requirements to ensure the program or project is meeting established cost, schedule, and performance objectives, as determined by a higher authority.


Basic Qualifications:
-4+ years of experience with working on facility communications systems

-Knowledge of DoD installations

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree in Communication Systems Engineering, EE, or Electronics Engineering


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with developing AF 3064, AF 3065, AF 103, AF 813, Environmental Analysis, AF IMT 3000s, DD1354, AF 332, DD 1391, and all other project-related documents
-Ability to use platforms, including REVIT, Tableau, Power BI, ArcMap, AutoCAD, or Infraworks

-Ability to use TRIRIGA to conduct project management
-Ability to prepare cost estimates using Excel or e4 Clicks

-Ability to use AutoCAD for drawing updates

-Secret clearance
