Facilities Electrical Engineer

Key Role:

Serve as a professional electrical engineer performing operations and maintenance (O&M) engineering duties to support a military installation. Apply expertise in civil engineering to perform O&M engineering involving the design, construction, maintenance, repair, upgrade, and operation of infrastructure facilities, including utility systems. Inspect and survey facilities to identify deficiencies for incorporation into the infrastructure maintenance plan to counteract the aging of infrastructure facilities and utilities. Prepare layouts, design considerations, and specifications. Review architecture and engineer (A&E) contract and in-house designs for future construction, renovations, or improvements to determine structural compatibility, maintainability, and functionality. Provide civil engineering support to trades and crafts shops. Provide oversight and assistance with the determination of the requirements and frequencies for the Recurring Work Program (RWP). Use computers and computer software, including information management programs, computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) programs, and project tracking programs to solve engineering problems and facilitate work. 

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with utility systems or a facility's power supply
-Knowledge of DoD installations
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree in Engineering or Civil Engineering

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with developing AF 3064, AF 3065, AF 103, AF 813, Environmental Analysis, AF IMT 3000s, DD1354, AF 332, DD 1391, and all other project-related documents

-Ability to use platforms, including REVIT, Tableau, Power BI, ArcMap, AutoCAD, or Infraworks
-Ability to use TRIRIGA to conduct project management
-Ability to prepare cost estimates using Excel or e4 Clicks

-Ability to use AutoCAD for drawing updates

-Secret clearance
