Field Service Engineer

Key Role:

Provide field engineering support to system fielding sites in CONUS and OCONUS. Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for DCGS-A systems performing system installations and post-clone for multiple software and hardware platforms. Conduct network troubleshooting and upgrades, as needed to maintain infrastructure, including leading the root-cause analysis and reach-back for issues encountered in the field. Support DCGS-A worldwide deployments of DCGS-A software and hardware supporting deployment teams and providing onsite augmentation, as needed. Support initial data-transfer and backup processes for critical unit infrastructure prior to software or hardware fielding. Conduct repeated install-redline-install cycles for the FSE documentation, and work with resources on providing finalized documentation. This position will require the ability to travel up to 75% of the time.


Basic Qualifications:

-4 years of experience with installing, configuring, including maintaining Windows servers and clients

-4 years of experience with administration in WAN or LAN, Linux, Windows Server 2003, VMware, IIS, and LDAP

-4 years of experience with client and server software interaction, including Web-based application design, support, and integration, JavaScript creation, Oracle databases, virtual operating systems, and creating and maintaining intelligence software applications

-Ability to travel for multiple weeks and multiple times per year to CONUS and OCONUS sites

-TS/SCI clearance

-BS degree CS or 5 years of experience with networking

-IA Level II Certification, including Security +

-Computing Environment Certification


Additional Qualifications:

-3 years of experience with fielding DCGS-A INC1 software to Army units

-Experience as an Army system maintainer

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent analytical and time management skills

-Cisco Certified Network Associate Certification


Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is requried.
