Field Systems Engineer

Key Role:

Provide field and test support for the PM Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (WIN-T) Joint Network Node (JNN) system. Coordinate concerted efforts of personnel involved in the final quality assurance phase prior to equipment hand-off. Manage the work efforts of onsite engineers and FSRs, establishing the priorities of work, ensuring logistic concerns are satisfied, and continuously coordinate with client representatives via teleconference and daily meetings to ensure schedule satisfaction. Provide ongoing technical support and assist with establishing individual unit network optimization and maintenance routines. Perform as a field service representative during engineering tests, military exercises, and logistics demonstrations. Plan, conduct, and direct projects or major phases of significant projects and coordinate the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects. Analyze, evaluate, and plan methods of approach and organize means to achieve solutions to complex technical problems.


Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with CISCO devices and software, including call manager VoIP platforms, firewalls, routers, and switches

-Knowledge of Promina Mux, McAfee Anti-Virus, intrusion prevention devices, REDCOM, and multiple fault isolation, network monitoring, and maintenance software or platforms

-Ability to troubleshoot hardware using software and test equipment, analyzing links bit error rates, routing, and reliability of hardware

-Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with providing technical and logistics expertise regarding network performance and configurations and advising the client on workarounds and network configuration changes to optimize performance

-Ability to work and coordinate efforts between multiple organizations in support of JWICS design, testing, and integration with various government agencies and identities while deployed in forward theatres

-Ability to share technical support to military units for the operation and maintenance of the JNN system and Regional Hub Node

-Ability to perform as a network systems engineer and site lead and provide advanced onsite developmental and operational support and guidance and training for personnel

-Ability to implement multiple, large-scale, dynamic, secure, non-secured, and commercial networks

-BA or BS degree in Engineering


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
