Fighter Pilot/Simulation Subject Matter Expert

Key Role:
Work with a government task lead to coordinate, collaborate, and facilitate integration of 4th and 5th generation USAF fighter wing simulators into an AFNORTH enterprise for training and mission rehearsal. Maintain a high level of expertise in 4/5th Gen employment capabilities and NORAD TTP for employment in wartime and peacetime, steady state operations. Craft and coordinate AFNORTH inputs to policy forums and working groups to support flight plan initiatives, as directed by higher headquarters. Attend working groups as a command representative. Support LVC training events as a white cell role player for mission scenarios. Provide lessons learned and corrective actions to maximize the effectiveness of LVC training. Incorporate lessons learned into follow on training events.

Basic Qualifications:
-10 years of experience as a pilot or weapons systems officer (WSO) in 4th or 5th generation fighters
-Knowledge of NORAD-NORTHCOM and AFNORTH roles and missions
-Ability to capture and provide insightful debrief for a training audience at the air defense sector and fighter squadron levels
-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with DIS-compliant virtual cockpit simulators, including Boeing Big Tac and Combat Environment Server (CES) and desktop simulators, including the Experimental Common Immersive Theater Environment (xCITE) and the Next Generation Threat Simulator (NGTS)
-Experience as numbered Air Force or Combatant Command staff in an operational capacity
-Experience with Air Force training networks, including ANG Air Reserve Component Network (ARCnet) and Distributed Mission Operations Network (DMON)
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including for oral briefings
