Financial Analyst, Mid

Key Role:
Support an Army Reserve client by applying expertise in financial management to serve as the Government Purchase Card (GPC) subject matter expert. Maintain responsibility for audit readiness planning and execution and the day–to–day processing of GPC financial transactions using the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and other applicable financial management systems in accordance with Army financial management regulations and fiscal law. Assist with developing the plan and scope of the audit engagement and identify, document, and perform tests against internal controls. Test compliance against published policies and procedures and review internal control systems to determine their reliability and effectiveness. Prepare findings and recommendations reports for corrective action through improvements to business practices, processes, and control procedures. Assist with the design and facilitation of compliance training sessions.

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience in an accounting or finance department

-4+ years of experience with executing GPC processes and financial documents

-4+ years of experience with conducting, training, and analyzing training plans

-Experience in working with GFEBS, including funds, financial, and cost management, and procurement

-Knowledge of using and applying internal controls, including control environment, risk assessment, control activities, or monitoring

-Knowledge of federal financial management, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs), or statement of budgetary resources

-Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with accounting or finance departments in the US Army or DoD

-Experience with performing financial audits as part of an internal audit department

-Experience with CDFM, CGFM, internal controls, audit readiness and preparedness, Sarbanes–Oxley, GAAS, GAAP, FAR, or DFAR

-Knowledge of the Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS)

-Knowledge of business intelligence tools and SAP business intelligence and business objects

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent client management skills

-BA or BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
