Financial Analyst, Mid

Key Role:

Support to a DoD client to provide resource management consulting services. Provide primary support for clients' budget analysis and DoD planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) system. Perform day-to-day control and management involving the formulation, execution, or analysis of clients' funding requirements. Provide analytical support for budgetary, reconciliation, accounting support, trend analysis and statistical budget formulation activities, Travel Pay support (DTS), and other financial service areas, including developing operating procedures, performance reporting, and management controls. Perform a wide variety of technical tasks in support of the financial analysis process, including gathering, compiling, and analyzing data from a broad range of sources and using a variety of analytical techniques. Prepare reports and presentations for colleagues, senior managers, and clients. This position is located in San Antonio, TX.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with providing DoD financial management budget support

-5+ years of experience with research analysis, performance analysis, quantitative analysis, or decision support analysis

-5+ years of experience with using Microsoft Excel or PowerPoint

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Army financial management and accounting systems, including GFEBS and Stanfns and fair share analysis

-Experience with supporting DTS document preparation, CIV pay analysis, funds requests, or pullbacks

-Experience with document preparation and tracking outstanding obligation research and reconciliation

-Experience with interagency or external relationships, including MCOM, MACOMS, installation level, or DFAS

-Experience with the development, justification, and execution of annual budget, incoming and outgoing funds, and funding documents

-Experience with the development, justification, and execution of program annual budget, budget, and program objective memorandum development for government review and approval

-Knowledge of financial and economic principles and their application to statistical modeling, including simple forecast models and regression analysis

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent leadership skills
