Financial and Budget Analyst

Key Role:

Document technical acquisition and resource management analysis in the development of products that ensure adequate processes and procedures for current or future program support plans. Provide support to programmatic actions ensuring effective and efficient completion of all tasks, as required. Document acquisition integration and analysis for the current and future force and related initiatives, including assessment and analysis at the Management Decision Package (MDEP) level. Leverage subject matter expertise for product, unit, and Army-level acquisition, science and technology, logistics, and budget analyses. Support training command personnel engaged in assessing, analyzing, and documenting the ongoing Army modernization initiatives to meet the requirements associated with developing current and future force. Coordinate and document input for the development of annual and long-range requirements and related supporting documentation, compile reports, plans, schedules, and miscellaneous narratives and statistics, and research regulations, polices, and guidance to respond to inquiries. Compile and review budgets for key programs and activities, using actual cost, previous budget figures, and other data to prepare reports, analyze trends, and provide projected costs for life cycle sustainment.

Basic Qualifications:

-4 years of experience as an Army or DoD resource or financial analyst

-Knowledge of Planning, Programming, and Budget Execution System (PPBES), POM development and submission, budget analysis, MDEPs, and Program Evaluation Groups (PEGs)

-Ability to provide support to programmatic actions

-Ability to analyze programs and budgets at the MDEP level

-Secret clearance

-BS degree in Finance

-Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM)

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Army acquisition, Army Commands, HQDA, OSD, or Comptroller

Clearance:
