Financial Improvement Audit Readiness Analyst

Key Role:

Provide Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) support to client units to achieve continued mission accomplishment. Provide oversight of the Existence and Completeness (E&C) of Military Equipment (ME) and Operating Material and Supplies (OM&S) inventory management and control processes and procedures, as delineated in the Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) guidance. Provide reasonable assurance that the assets under client management maintain audit ability, and are prudent and reasonable efforts have been performed to assure the public’s interest. Provide oversight of the rights and obligation of financial statement assertions. Assist client’s units during the MILSTRIP Tri-Annual Review (TAR) Process. Conduct research in the Standard Accounting Budgeting Reporting System (SABRS) and SMARTS to determine, if corrective action was initiated by the Comptroller to correct financial discrepancies noted during the MILSTRIP TAR.


Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with supply

-10+ years of experience with Marine Corps Intermediate and using Unit supply activities

-10+ years of experience with USMC Financial Accounting and SABRS

-Knowledge of the FIAR Guidance dated April 2017

-Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methods and technique

-Knowledge of the DoD Financial Management Regulation (FMR)

-Knowledge of the FSMAO Supply Checklist

-Knowledge of internal audit, risk management, and examination technique

-Knowledge of the Federal Managers’ Financial Integrity Act (FMFIA)

-Ability to obtain a security clearance


Additional Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with GCSS-MC Oracle platforms

-Experience with Microsoft Office

-Secret clearance preferred

-BA or BS degree in Business or Accounting preferred; MBA a plus

-Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM)
