Financial Management Business Process Program Manager

Key Role:

Serve as the Program Manager for the US Army Financial Management Command’s Business Process Standardization support contract. Manage 50 staff in project scheduling, execution, quality control, and financial management. Enhance the effectiveness of Army operations, create tools for guiding and training employees on standard processes, supplement Army efforts to identify and resolve financial management weaknesses, and achieve financial statement auditability. Document Financial Statement and General Ledger impacting processes not yet finalized or sent forward to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army – Financial Operations (DASA-FO) for publication. Develop the end-to-end (E2E) scope for business processes and sub-processes leveraging the Army Business Enterprise Architecture (ABEA). Review, align, and overlay existing Notices of Findings and Recommendations (NFRs), Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), and control activities for process documentation. Develop detailed Microsoft Visio process flowcharts and Excel process details aligned to each step of process flowcharts and support USAFMCOM to present status updates, drafts, and final work products to the 2-Star-level Executive Steering Committee (ESC) for approval.

Basic Qualifications:

-10 years of experience with accounting, auditing, or internal controls

-2 years of experience with supporting audit readiness initiatives in DoD

-2 years of experience with DoD business process standardization frameworks and methodologies

-Experience with using change and knowledge management platforms and products, including Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Publisher, Adobe Pro, Camtasia, or VideoScribe

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

-Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) License

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with managing large (50 FTE+) contracts supporting DoD

-Knowledge of the Army organization and financial management processes

-BA or BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
