Financial Management Policy Analyst

Key Role:

Support a government client by assisting with the development and implementation of, and training on financial management and travel policies. Provide expertise with authoring, reviewing, financial management and traveling policies, including ensuring compliance with federal regulations, industry best practices, and other applicable guidelines. Assist with the development of training concepts, implementation plans, and the overall financial management policies and strategies. Develop and present progress reports and track the status of various project tasks. Write memos, directives, and bulletins in support of financial management and travel policies’ implementation to maintain compliance with client templates and standards. Review, prioritize, and respond to customer inquiries on financial management and travel policies.

Basic Qualifications:

-6+ years of experience as a subject matter expert in financial management standards, policies and procedures

-Experience with creating and analyzing reports in Excel

-Experience with reviewing and editing the work of others

-Knowledge of pertinent research and analytical methodologies and application of techniques to policy issues

-Ability to exercise judgment in all phases of analysis, including sorting information to explore all facets of a policy issues, reviewing legislation, and developing feasible options or alternatives for policy implementation

-Ability to work independently

-Public Trust clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with government consulting

-Experience with writing, editing, and coordinating government policies in intra-Agency department
-Knowledge of federal travel regulations (FTRs) a plus

-Ability to organize ideas and present findings in a logical manner

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
