Fires SME and Concept of Operations Writer

Key Role:

Serve as part of a Booz Allen team supporting future Joint Force development, including analyzing the development of military capabilities for multiple Combatant Command and coalition clients. Identify and evaluate complex or highly sensitive future Joint Force capabilities, methods, procedures, and processes. Formulate complex future requirements while working closely with Higher Headquarters and subordinate capability developers supporting specific programs and projects. Serve as a Joint Fires SME, including analyzing the development of Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) for the future Joint Warfighter.

Basic Qualifications:

-15 years of experience with military operations

-5 years of experience with Fire support and training as a Joint Force Officer (JFO)

-Experience with concept or doctrine development and coordination

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree
 

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience as a SME instructor at a service school

-Experience as a Fire Support Liaison with Brigade or higher staff

-Knowledge of Virtual Battle Space 3, Virtual Battle Space Fires, and Call for Fire Trainer

-Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project

-Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and comprehend the impact on future military requirements

-Ability to interpret the intent of a client’s needs and help shape and form the solution by leveraging team capabilities

-Ability to work in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment with aggressive project timelines and continual client delivery

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent presentation and interpersonal skills

-TS/SCI clearance preferred

-MA or MS degree preferred

-Attendance at a Service Command and Staff College preferred
