Flying Squadron Scheduler and Programmer, Mid

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for scheduling aircraft, academics, training devices, and crew complement to meet applicable Air Force instructions and training syllabus requirements and currencies. Update the schedule to maximize use of resources, when aircraft mechanical problems, medical issues, flight evaluation requirements, expiring event currencies, deployments, student training continuity, weather, student performance, simulator maintenance problems, or other factors affect the schedule. Create daily, weekly, and long-range scheduling products, including a squadron local flying hour schedule, flying hour forecast, flying hour program (FHP) report, flying effectiveness report, frequency schedule, calendars, master slides, scheduling requirement, and end of day summaries for unit review and briefing to squadron leadership or designated official. This position is located in San Antonio, TX.

Basic Qualifications

-2+ years of experience working in a DoD operational flying unit

-2+ years of experience with Microsoft Outlook, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

-1+ year of experience with scheduling

-Experience with working at a training flying unit, as an active duty, guard, reserve, contractor, or civilian within the last 10 years

-Ability to operate SharePoint Websites and communities of practice, including computer based training scheduling, and integrated management system, such as TIMS, GTIMS, PEX, and X-plan

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications

-Experience with Microsoft Access

-AA or AS degree
