FMS Ship Acquisition Program Production Test Lead

Key Role:

Provide professional services in leading, designing, and supporting the test development and planning for operationally test platforms and systems to ensure effectiveness, operability, maintainability, and survivability in their planned operating environment. Perform test planning, develop and implement all project test and verification processes and procedures, and analyze, evaluate, and recommend testing approaches and tools. Support testing cycles, including identification, analysis, execution, and documentation of all tests. Analyze requirements to fully understand platform and system testing needs and use of special test equipment. Create and execute test cases and develop test tools. Monitor testing progress and results and create test reports. Interface with government technical project managers to ensure support provided meets or exceeds all work performance objectives and standards. 


Basic Qualifications:

-10 + years of experience in testing and evaluation with relation to design, introduction to service, and operation of complex platforms consisting of a system of systems

-Experience with US Navy ships and shipboard systems in testing and evaluation, configuration management, acquisition, operation, maintenance, life cycle sustainment, and training of shipboard personnel

-Experience with design, construction, and fleet introduction of Naval Ships, including design changes, ship alterations, and identification of how these alterations affect test plans and evaluations

-Experience with supporting the review and analysis of systems engineering design artifacts, including Concepts of Operations (CONOPs), requirements analysis, interface design, system architecture development, and their relation the planning, conducting and reporting test and evaluation processes

-Knowledge of the DoD acquisition process, including regulations, directives, and statutes, the Navy’s application of the DoD acquisition process, such as contracting and sea trials, and key naval ship acquisition roles and organizations

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Naval Ship Construction and Pre–Commissioning Unit

-Experience with US Navy platforms, surface and air–launched weapon, C4I, Sensor, and Electronic Warfare systems

-Experience with Foreign Military Sales program

-MS degree in Systems Engineering preferred


Clearance: 

Applicants will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
