FMS Training and Crew Integration Manager

The Challenge:

What if you could use those project management skills to make a difference in US Navy Foreign Military Sales (FMS) training? We have an opportunity for a project analyst to join our team as we develop and coordinate a surface training plans for FMS customers to support US Navy objectives.

On our team, you’ll develop and manage cost, schedule, and performance and have regular interactions with US Navy and industry stakeholders to coordinate the acquisition, development, and implementation of training plans to support a US Navy FMS client, including planning, communication, outreach, and foreign customer liaison support services. You will identify and create strategies supporting the successful delivery and introduction to service for a new class of US-built warship for an international client to design, develop, and implement surface ship training programs for international crew members. You will help determine and refine requirements of ship designated classification society and the standards of training and certification for watchkeepers. You will also develop recommendations for whole ship curriculum and training schedule integration to minimize lost time and maximize student classroom output throughout the pre-commissioning training program

You Have:

-5 + years of experience with US Navy ships and shipboard training requirements 

-Experience with managing fleet introduction of naval ships on build or after major upgrade, including training and personnel requirements and identifying how to mitigate impacts to crew development and readiness to meet program milestones

-Experience with managing multiple elements of a large, complex naval training program to deliver the required output to cost and schedule

-Experience with developing training in accordance with Naval Education and Training (NAVEDTRA) 130 series instructions, including 130/131 and 136, Integrated Learning Environment Course Development and Life Cycle Maintenance method

-Experience in pre-commissioning units with the training and integration of crews into new construction ships

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree or 10 years of experience with naval surface ship training

Nice If You Have:

-Experience in a Naval Ship Pre-Commissioning Unit

-Experience with classification and certification requirements for the safe conduct of ship operations at sea and in port

-Experience with US Navy littoral class ships (LCS) or other minimal crew surface platforms

-Experience in working with foreign clients and export control and International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) issues

-Active Secret clearance
