Functional Analyst

Key Role:

Provide day-to-day onsite support to a Navy command in Europe with the implementation of a client missile defense capability as part of the European Phased Adaptive Approach (EPAA) to missile defense in the US European Command Area of Responsibility (AOR) and larger Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) mission within the theater. Develop briefings, information papers, analyses, and assessments for senior leadership related to the progress of implementing a client capability, including emerging trends, schedules, functional capabilities, such as emergency management, mission assurance, Cybersecurity, logistics, test, exercise, and security or force protection, and operational requirements for use by the client in preparing guidance or making decisions. Collaborate and coordinate across a multitude of DoD and interagency stakeholders within several venues on implementation status and challenges to provide timely information to the client for use in determining resolution of issues and paths forward. Participate and give briefings in key client synchronization meetings on topics of interest to Combatant Commander, Navy, and acquisition executive staffs.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with analyzing plans, data, trends, or systems and integrating information from a variety of sources

-5+ years of experience with collaborating across multiple organizations to reach timely resolution of critical challenges that require research, analysis, strategic planning, product development, presentations to leadership, and facilitation with their implementation

-5+ years of experience with reviewing and evaluating the effectiveness of plans, policies, procedures, training, or systems and providing recommended solutions

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Navy surface warfare

-Experience with Navy ballistic missile defense, including naval support facility sites operated under a Commander, Navy Region Europe, or Southwest Asia

-Experience in coordinating with military and civilian entities, both foreign and domestic, including US embassies.

-Top Secret clearance

-MA or MS degree
