Functional Project Manager

Key Role:
Support the client's ongoing technology life cycle upgrades and service improvement projects. Define data requirements and technical components and incorporate software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies to support project deliverables and documentation management. Plan, develop, organize, and monitor major functional activities, including project schedules for client projects. Facilitate the implementation of emerging technology projects. Coordinate and facilitate project and stakeholder meetings, capture key notes and action items on behalf of the client, and work with project engineers and team leads to collect and analyze project data and translate it into project documentation and stakeholder briefings. Lead data gathering efforts for client project documentation creation while adhering to defined SDLC and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) configuration management methodologies and create executive-level briefings for various senior stakeholder audiences. Provide customer support, as necessary, coordinate tasking and schedules, and deliver monthly status reports. This position requires the ability to work on client site 100% with no remote delivery.

Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with providing project management support for large infrastructure systems, including Exchange and Active Directory
-Experience with managing large infrastructure IT projects, including providing planning, scheduling, deployment, and project closure support
-Experience with managing technical writing deliverables for large environment infrastructure systems
-Experience with the ITIL standard configuration management framework, including the use of a Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
-Experience with using the Microsoft Office Suite to create technical and non-technical documentation, including Visio drawings, presentations, organization charts, reports, and spreadsheets
-Experience with virtualization technology projects, data center modernization, major technology refresh projects, industry standard SDLC best practices for large environment infrastructure systems, and Microsoft Office 365 enterprise deployments
-Ability to support problem management, risk management, and change management practices, as deployed by the client

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree required
-Certified Project Management Institute (PMI) or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required

Additional Qualifications:
-Ability to support problem management, risk management, and change management practices as deployed at the house

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including communicating with project stakeholders, IT, and IT management over the phone and in person and in writing, such as reports and e-mails
-ITIL Foundations Certification a plus
