Game Software Developer Intern

Key Role:

Serve as a software engineer intern on a team of talented software developers, collaborate with artists and designers from diverse technical backgrounds to solve difficult problems, and implement novel solutions to complex coding problems using interactive software applications, including Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality products. Use cutting-edge hardware and software in the development of the next generation of learning, training, and educational tools for the US defense community. Incorporate innovative techniques, including game-based learning, interactive functionality, and 3D immersive graphics. Develop simulated environments to create effective learning experiences tailored to client needs on multiple platforms, including desktop, smart phones, and mobile devices. This position is located in a gamified workplace in San Antonio, TX.


Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with game development using Unreal, Unity, Lumberyard or Crytek, or equivalent 3D engines

-Experience with the development of software solutions for console, PC, or mobile platforms

-Experience with 3D game or simulation technologies, Web technologies, including HTML, CSS, or JavaScript, WebGL, and Mobile device applications

-Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-Pursuing a BA or BS degree in CS or Computer Engineering


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Web development in HTML, Dreamweaver, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, or Java

-Experience with mobile development
-Experience with Web 2.0 development

-Knowledge of software development life cycles

-Knowledge of optimization processes
