GeoBase Regional Administrator

Key Role:
Serve as a regional administrator to provide guidance and coordinate client program activities at NAS Ft. Worth JRB, TX. Identify, contact, establish, and maintain good working relationships with key resources at the ANG bases within the respective region and develop, update, and maintain the training curriculum, syllabus, and other training materials in coordination with the training subcommittee. Work with the GIS communications administrator to develop and deliver GIS training curriculum to ANG units to meet training objectives. Provide lessons learned to the training subcommittee along with recommended changes, additions, or deletions to the training curriculum and supporting materials, promote the principles of Garrison GeoBase, and provide guidance and consulting support to regional ANG bases in the collection, storage, delivery, and integration of geospatial data and products. Provide education and consultation to regional functional communities and promote and disseminate Air Force and ANG GIO policies and procedures for the acquisition, development, and maintenance of geospatial data. Provide GIS technical support to bases, including coordinating and managing base-level GIS projects to ensure GeoBase compliancy, perform various data loading within RDBMS, ArcSDE solutions, and provide coordination for data sharing and visualization between ANG bases, state level NGB Joint Operations Commands, and ANG CAT. Coordinate with the GIO database administrator to ensure proper storage and dissemination of geospatial data and present formal publications, communications, plans, deliverables, and other work products to leadership.
 

Basic Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience with geospatial technology implementation and development and management for large geospatial technologies projects or programs required
-Experience with CADD technologies and data migration to GIS
-Experience with leading geospatial technologies vendor software and software configurations required
-Secret clearance
-HS diploma or GED
 

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with managing enterprise-wide geospatial technologies programs a plus
-Experience with DoD, Air Force, NGB, or ANG
-Experience with SharePoint, Web graphics, social media, and online marketing
-Experience with Google Analytics, Piwik, or other Web traffic measurement platforms
-Experience with Web technologies, standards, and protocols and authoring data management plans, QA or QC plans, geospatial technologies needs analysis, strategic plans, and implementation plans preferred
-Experience with classroom teaching and training as an instructor preferred
-Knowledge of relevant industry and government standards, including SDSFIE and FGDC metadata standards preferred
-Possession of excellent oral and written communications skills
-BA or BS degree in Geography or Physical Science, CS, or Mathematics or 5 years of experience with GIS certificates or military

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
