GeoBase Regional Administrator

Key Role:
Serve as a regional administrator to provide guidance and coordinate all ANG GeoBase program activities at the bases. Identify, contact, establish, and maintain good working relationships with key resources at ANG bases within the respective regions and develop, update, and maintain the training curriculum, syllabi, and other training materials in coordination with the training subcommittee. Work with the GIS communications administrator to develop and deliver GIS training curriculum to ANG units to meet training objectives. Provide lessons learned to the training subcommittee along with recommended changes, additions, or deletions to the training curriculum and supporting materials, promote the principles of Garrison GeoBase, and provide guidance and consulting support to regional ANG bases in the collection, storage, delivery, and integration of geospatial data and products. Provide education and consultation to regional functional communities and promote and disseminate Air Force and ANG GIO policies and procedures for the acquisition, development, and maintenance of geospatial data. Provide GIS technical support to bases, including coordinating and managing base-level GIS projects to ensure GeoBase compliance, perform various data loading within RDBMS and ArcSDE solutions, and provide coordination for data sharing and visualization between ANG bases, state-level Joint Operations Commands, and ANG CAT. Coordinate with the GIO database administrator to ensure proper storage and dissemination of geospatial data and present formal publications, communications, plans, deliverables, and other work products to leadership.

Basic Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience with implementing and developing geospatial technologies and managing large geospatial technologies projects or programs required
-Experience with CADD technologies and data migration to GIS
-Experience with leading geospatial technologies vendor software and software configurations required
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree in Geography, Physical Science, CS, or Mathematics or 5 years of experience with GIS or the military

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with managing enterprise-wide geospatial technologies programs a plus
-Experience with the DoD, Air Force, NGB, or ANG
-Experience with SharePoint, Web graphics, social media, and online marketing
-Experience with Google Analytics, Piwik, or other Web traffic measurement platforms
-Experience with Web technologies, standards, and protocols and analyzing the writing of data management plans, QA/QC plans, geospatial technologies needs analysis, strategic plans, and implementation plans preferred
-Experience with classroom teaching and training as an instructor preferred
-Knowledge of relevant industry and government standards, including SDSFIE and FGDC metadata standards preferred
-Possession of excellent oral and written communications skills
-Secret clearance preferred
