Geographic Information Systems Engineer

Key Role:

Provide geographic information systems (GIS) support to the GEOINT analysis, production, targeting, and common intelligence picture functions. Act as an end user to assist with the development of a leading edge geospatial processing suite. Support the development of Web or online mapping capabilities and data management. Create, load, and integrate geospatial data layers, including cultural or social layers for named areas of interest to support analytical modeling. Process multiple intelligence requests for content delivery using geospatial software, including ArcGIS, Global Mapper, GE, or QT Modeler and manipulate multiple file formats, including DEM's, GEOTIFF, KML/KMZ, and LAS/LAZ. Evaluate processing quality using government and commercial derived Digital Elevation Models and Point Clouds, imagery, and field collected data to incorporate into a software development pipeline. Oversee quality assurance of geospatial data produced via government and commercial processing suites. 


Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience as a GIS engineer

-3+ years of experience with working in either the military or national intelligence community

-Experience with using Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) Arc Geographic Information Systems (ArcGIS) and spatial data layers to support data integration

-Ability to author, coordinate and manage capability requirements across a large set of stakeholders

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the national or theater level collection requirements management process

-Experience in working with collection management systems, including PRISM, MASINT Portal, and GEOINT Information Management Services (GIMS)

-Ability to conduct shift work, as requested

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including expertise in presentations

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
