Geospatial and Data Analyst, Junior

Key Role:
Research existing geospatial plans, strategies, and policies and support their update or maintenance for use by the community. Engage with government stakeholders to identify data sources and share information on the use or value of geospatial analysis. Support geospatial governance efforts by multiple federal interagency bodies focused on geospatial governance, partnerships, data management, standards, and analysis. Organize meetings, webinars, and other events where geospatial stakeholders will discuss governance, partnerships, data management, standards, analysis, and emerging issues. Apply knowledge of the use of multiple geospatial software tools, including ESRI ArcGIS and Google Earth and multiple sources of data, including HSIP, Census, and Flood Plain to create analytical products for a variety of clients. Work independently to accomplish tasks and leverage the ability to work with identified stakeholders, data, tools, and topics. Work closely with other members of the immediate team on multiple projects and support colleagues from across the firm in projects, proposals, and other requirements requiring geospatial coordination and analysis.

Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with using geospatial data and geospatial software tools, including ESRI ArcGIS and Google Earth
-Experience with large structured or unstructured data sets in various formats, including shapefile, file geodatabase, personal geodatabase, and geojson via WMS, WFS, WMTS, and REST services
-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, and Outlook
-Ability to coordinate partnership efforts, including interagency geospatial meetings and stakeholder geospatial webinars
-Ability to comprehend an organization's mission or requirements and develop innovative products to support their mission
-Ability to give presentations and explain geospatial tools or data requirements to stakeholders
-Ability to work independently and accomplish goals or tasks with minimal assistance
-Ability to access or categorize multiple sources of data, including real-time or dynamic, imagery, LIDAR, and open source for use by the community
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree
