Government Accounting Compliance Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Analyze the development of programs for and conduct complex financial, system, or operational audits in the following areas: internal controls and procedures, time and labor charging, pricing, estimating, accounting for unallowable costs, disclosure, and material management accounting systems. Prepare reports summarizing audit findings, review them with management, and make recommendations. Interface with government and client auditors, as required. Conduct training sessions for employees and analyze the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Assess the training needs of junior-level government accounting compliance (GAC) staff and develop appropriate training plans. Analyze and implement programs designed to increase employee awareness of compliance policies.

Basic Qualifications:

-7+ years of experience with GAC

-1+ years of experience with supervising the quality of work products

-Experience with managing and leading responses to government audit requests

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel
-Experience with evaluating the training needs of a team

-Experience with advising senior leaders

-Experience with Cumulative Allowable Cost Worksheets (CACWS) and forward pricing rates of major Government service contractors
-Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), cost accounting standards (CAS), and their applications
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with ERP systems, including Deltek CostPoint or JAMIS
-Experience with working for a major government services contractor

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent interpersonal skills

-BA or BS degree in Finance or Accounting          
-CPA, CFR, or other relevant certifications
