Government Contract Compliance Specialist, Senior

Key Role:
Serve as a government contract compliance specialist conducting factual intake, research, and review of matters and employee inquiries regarding compliance with rules and regulations applicable to US federal government contractors. Support training and communications planning, development and implementation, risk assessments, policy review and enhancement, and compliance monitoring activities. Perform trend analysis on current and developing firm and industry compliance behavior and misconduct trends, research and analyze their impact on the firm, and propose tailored, practical solutions. Work with the program management office to support project planning activities for the firm, including drafting and maintaining robust project plans, documenting decisions and dependencies, and spotting and remediating potential gaps or weaknesses in program controls. Participate in the design, development, and implementation of compliance program enhancements and process improvements necessary to achieve the ethics and compliance team’s objectives. Provide as-needed support to other programs within Legal, Ethics, and Compliance. Work with cross-functional teams, including corporate investigations, HR, contracts, and security to address compliance issues and achieve ethics and compliance team initiatives.
 

Basic Qualifications:
-5 years of experience with working in a compliance department or team
-Experience with supporting the development and maintenance of compliance policies, programs, and procedures and conducting risk assessments
-Experience with gifts and business courtesies, post-government employment restrictions, procurement integrity, anti-kickback or contingency fees, organizational and personal conflicts of interest, competition and anti-trust, and contract and supply chain compliance
-Ability to interpret and communicate regulatory guidance
-Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including, business-focused teams, legal and compliance teams, and finance and accounting teams
-Ability to work collaboratively on other teams’ business processes
-BA or BS degree
 

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with using Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint
-Ability to implement processes and procedures with precision and attention to detail
-Ability to track, organize, and coordinate projects independently to achieve results 
-Ability to be a team player who fosters professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all actions, including helping the team with a wide variety of tasks, as needed
-Ability to be flexible when required, achieve against tight deadlines, and organize and prioritize work
-Possession of excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills, including developing collegial relationships with colleagues
-Possession of excellent analytical skills, including strict attention to detail
