Government Contracts Attorney

Key Role:

Partner with clients to solve their most difficult challenges through a combination of consulting,
analytics, mission operations, technology, systems delivery, Cybersecurity, engineering, and innovation expertise. Serve as a government contracts attorney, and leverage experience with federal procurement transactions as part of a broader legal department. Perform as a member of an internal legal team, working with a team of government contracts attorneys who support the federal business across civil, defense, and intelligence markets. Work on a wide range of complex issues at the prime and subcontract levels, provide risk reviews and insights to the lead account attorneys, and assist with a variety of government contract, compliance, and legal department initiatives. Support the lead account attorneys in a variety of matters, including disputes, bid protests, contract and subcontract negotiations, and merger and acquisition due diligence.


Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience with government contracts law, including FAR, DFARS, federal procurement statutes and regulations, and bid protest jurisprudence

-Ability to serve as a business partner to develop comprehensive solutions to challenging problems

-Ability to show legal and analytical expertise, and a business oriented approach to problem
solving

-Ability to display excellent judgment and initiative in selecting the most effective solutions

-Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and manage the workload and simultaneous tasks, and meet deadlines in a changing, fast-paced environment

-Ability to provide practical and pragmatic advice to legal and business colleagues

-JD degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience advising professional services companies, and commercial or government industry

-Experience with commercial contract negotiation federal or non-federal

-Experience in a large law firm or corporate law department, preferred

-Ability to be highly responsive and organized

-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
