GPS Software and Test Engineer

The Challenge:

Are you looking for an opportunity to not just develop software, but to help build a system that will allow testing of next generation global positioning system (GPS) receivers? As a full-stack developer, you can solve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast-paced, agile environment. We’re looking for a developer with testing skills needed to build C/C++ code for interface assessment from vision to production-ready system.

This role is more than just coding. We need a full-stack developer who will use their passion to learn new tools and techniques, and identify needed system improvements. Using agile software design, coding, and test best practices. you’ll work in a team environment to build GPS receiver functionality and performance verification tools. You’ll analyze the needs and the environment to help make sure the solution the team develops considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with C/C++ programming, including development expertise and debugging of existing code
  • Experience with working in a laboratory environment supporting military hardware radio frequency (RF) equipment
  • Experience with software interfaces and testing
  • Experience in performing hardware and software testing of military equipment
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • BA or BS degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or STEM field required

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience in working with global positioning system (GPS)
  • Experience in working with military PNT equipment
  • Experience in working with military or commercial Inertial Navigation System (INS) technology
  • Experience working in modeling and simulation environments is an advantage, particularly Spirent simulators
  • Experience with public key infrastructure (PKI) or encryption
  • BA or BS degree in CS or EE is preferred
