GPS Software Engineer, Mid

Key Role:
Support mid- and senior-level software, hardware, and test engineering staff with laboratory and test facility requirements analysis, GPS data analysis, T&E, and validation of satellite simulator software, digital receiver hardware, and post-test processing software for a variety of PNT applications. Provide programming in C++ or Java for maintenance and enhancement of existing Navy assets, as required. Leverage experience with military GPS receiver operations and antenna products to support client requirements. Assist with Navy change and configuration management processes. Work under general to little supervision and assist with training junior software engineer staff, as needed.
 

Basic Qualifications:
-2+ years of experience with C++ or Java programming
-Experience with GPS simulation hardware or software products
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
 

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SSC) Pacific or other PNT laboratory environment preferred
-Experience with programming satellite simulator products preferred
-Experience with working in the areas of simulator scenario generation, interface simulation, Satellite Communications (SATCOM), or Radio Frequency (RF) signal analysis and data reduction
-Experience with the operation of military GPS receivers and antennas
-Experience with the Navy Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) process
 

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
