GPS Test Engineer, Junior

Key Role:

Support the Navy with Test and Evaluation (T&E) services working on projects related to the next generation Military GPS User Equipment (MGUE) program, as applied to shipboard environments. Work in a small team with government personnel on reviews and providing inputs to Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), test procedures, and test reports. Execute testing, including the operation of Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) lab equipment, integrated Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) platforms, and senor systems. Provide data analysis and troubleshooting of next generation Global Positioning System (GPS) or PNT platforms. This position is located in San Diego, CA.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with T&E providing review, analysis, and inputs with developing TEMPs, T&E procedures, reports, and other Contract Deliverable Requirements List (CDRL) items

-1+ years of experience with performing T&E testing, operating lab equipment, and conducting analysis and troubleshooting of GPS or PNT equipment

-Secret clearance required

-HS diploma or GED and 2+ years of experience with T&E or AA or AS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with T&E work specific to the GPS-based Positioning, Navigation, and Timing Service (GPNTS) or Navigation Sensor System Interface (NAVSSI)

-Experience with navigation sensors interfacing with GPS receivers a plus  

-Knowledge of MGUE and its lead platforms or other current GPS systems and related C4ISR platforms with which they integrate

-BA or BS degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) field preferred
