GPS Test Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Support engineering and Test and Evaluation (T&E) services, working on projects related to next generation GPS receivers. Work with lead engineering staff on analysis of the development of test procedures and subsequent testing of GPS interfaces in simulated and live environments. Lead laboratory testing, fault isolation, and investigative engineering projects. This position is located in San Diego, CA.

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with engineering lab testing

-Experience with working in a laboratory with a GPS satellite simulator

-Experience with technical writing, including generating, editing, and validating test procedures to properly verify GPS interfaces

-Knowledge of military GPS systems and technologies

-Ability to comprehend GPS receiver Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and use laboratory equipment to verify compliance

-Secret clearance required  

-BA or BS degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with GPS sensor and navigation data communication assessment across both serial and parallel data buses preferred

-Experience as prior military or a DoD contractor working on a GPS program preferred

-Experience with Embedded GPS Inertial Navigation System (EGI) aviation form factor or military GPS vendors

-Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) or other encryption work a plus

-Experience with C++ programming integrating serial and parallel interface test equipment preferred

-Experience in navigation sensor modeling with GPS satellite simulator integration preferred

-Knowledge of GPS Ground and Aviation or Maritime form factor military products and related interface documentation preferred

-Knowledge of development, interface, or testing of Defense Advanced GPS Receiver (DAGR) or EGI products preferred
