Ground Combat Element Planner

Key Role:

Provide support to ensure operational capabilities are in place at specific facilities and locations in order to respond to crises and execute Operational Plans (OPLANs), Concept Plans (CONPLANs), Theatre Security Cooperation (TSC), and exercises. Support the acquisition, design, construction, maintenance, repair, and operation of real property facilities. Provide project management assistance and other work to complete projects in support of client actions. Support all phases of project execution from scope development to facility turnover. Coordinate assessment strategies to ensure facilities and MILCON requirements for projects support mission requirements and operational forces core capabilities, providing support using the Marine Corps’ planning process used to conduct OPTs and GAP analysis and support requirements.


Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with project management

-3+ years of experience in reviewing Lean Six Sigma studies to determine DPRI impacts and adjustments, discuss study proposals with Lean Six Sigma leads, or recommend Lean Six Sigma studies

-3+ years of experience with using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook, visual graphics, Microsoft Project Manager, Visio desirable, and SharePoint Web page

-3+ years of experience with preparing naval correspondence and concise point, position, and decision papers

-3+ years of experience with working on projects that embody the overall mission, organization, functions, capabilities, administration, and operations of the Marine Corps and client

-3+ years of experience with using planning software, including Project, Adobe Professional, Visio, SharePoint, or Auto-CAD

-Secret clearance required


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in the Pacific Command area of responsibility, including the complexities associated with conducting activities with over 36 countries preferred

-Knowledge of Navy, Marine Corps, and DoD planning documents, Foreign Clearance Guide, and the Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC)

-BA or BS degree

-PMP Certification


Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
