Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer

Key Role:

Develop and apply advanced hardware design methods, theories, and research techniques to the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems. Plan, conduct, and technically direct projects or major phases of significant projects, including coordinating the efforts of technical support personnel, drafters, technical writers, and electronics technicians in the performance of assigned projects. Conduct investigations and tests of considerable complexity. Review literature, patents, and current practices for the solution of assigned projects. Recommend corrections to technical applications and analysis. Evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services. Provide technical consultation to other organizations and work leadership to junior employees, as needed.


Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with embedded software system requirements analysis, risk assessment, design, development, integration, or testing

-Experience with analytical tools, including MATLAB, Simulink, C, and C++

-Experience with simulator or hardware test development and execution and mission operations

-Experience with developing algorithms to support unique mission requirements

-Active Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree and 5+ years of experience with guidance, navigation, and control (GNC)


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with weapon operational flight profile (OFP) development

-Experience with weapon or platform integration
-Experience with hardware design, block diagrams, and schematics

-Knowledge of circuit development, performance modeling and end-to-end simulation and implementation
-Knowledge of SDLC processes and tools, including Agile or Scrum processes

-Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment with peers, senior government officials, and the prime contractor

-Ability to travel to contractors' facilities, test sites, and other locations up to 50% of the time per month
