Hardware Electrical Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Perform complex analysis, design, develop and verification of hardware solutions for wireless communication and navigation systems in support of government clients. Assist with developing and integrating system-on-chip (SoC) solutions, including embedded processors and Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) silicon devices for real-time signal processing. Support analyze digital signal processing algorithm (DSP) algorithms and then implement using HDL or VHDL targeting FPGA silicon devices. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff. Prepare and present design concepts, project plans, and product reports to internal teams and clients.

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with hardware design for communication systems

-Experience with Radio Frequency components, including LNA, Attenuators, and IQ mixers

-Experience in working with common lab test equipment, including spectrum analyzer, mixed domain oscilloscope, and signal generator

-Experience with several FPGA silicon device manufacturer, including Xilinx, Intel, Altera, MicroSemi and Lattice

-Experience with leading HDL development tools, including Mentor Graphics, Xilinx Vivado, and Intel Quartus

-Experience with Mathworks, and Matlab

-Knowledge of software defined radios (SDR)

-Knowledge of communication theory and digital signal processing, printed circuit board design and manufacturing

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with GNU radio waveform development environments

-Experience with Precision Navigation and Timing (PNT) principles and techniques

-Experience with software-defined radio platforms

-Experience with microcontrollers, DSP devices or GPU devices

-Knowledge of High Level Synthesis tools and development

-MS degree in EE
