Key Role:
Serve as a Host Based Security System (HBSS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide end users tiered-level customer support by coordinating software, hardware, network, and security issue resolution. Install, configure, troubleshoot, and provide maintenance and training and day to day support for Fleet units, including guidance, account creation, and ePO functionality while following SOPs or TTPs and escalating other issues. Facilitate the delivery of HBSS SME tracking, artifacts, and documentation to the HBSS overarching project management, support Fleet Units in all matters dealing with HBSS ashore ePO management, and escalate issues or problems to support solution development. Manage, track, and report policy exceptions in accordance with Navy TTPs or SOPs, report compliance status in accordance with Navy mandates and management direction, and implement HBSS deployment and policy strategies in accordance with approved Navy TTPs/SOPs, manage a ticketing system, and monitor and analyze rogue system detection and respond and report in accordance with approved Navy TTPs or SOPs. Verify automated reports are being sent out as needed, create server tasks and automated reports, review HBSS threat events, and maintain a presence in the HBSS chat room. Identify potential shortfalls in watch floor processes and procedures and provide recommendations for potential watchfloor processes improvements. Review and provide guidance on the Navy’s distributed Defense Cyber Operations structure and procedures and assist with the development and execution of training and instruction to personnel in proper policy and procedures for distributed defensive Cyber operations.

Basic Qualifications:
-7 years of experience with IT
-2+ years of experience in a help desk role
-Experience with DoD or DoN Cybersecurity
-Experience in working with HBSS
-Active Secret clearance
-HS diploma or GED
-CompTIA Security+ Certification

Additional Qualifications:
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
