HBSS Systems Administrator, Senior

Key Role:
Serve as the lead host-based security system (HBSS) systems administrator for a DoD program. Analyze, configure, and troubleshoot HBSS policies for systems on both classified and unclassified production networks and provide system administrator support, operations, and maintenance of the client's HBSS ePO servers. Install, configure, and troubleshoot ePO server software, deploy applicable security products to client workstations and servers, and upgrade or update HBSS point products to meet DoD baseline requirements. Provide technical feedback and expertise to government personnel on HBSS configurations, deployments, and engineering of networks to facilitate the proper implementation of the site's HBSS architecture. Provide weekly status to the site’s information system security manager (ISSM) and report on metrics derived from the HBSS ePO server and related point products. Implement security controls and hardening on various operating systems in accordance with DoD security technical implementation guides (STIGs) and SRGs. Coordinate and interface with a team of systems administrators and network engineers to configure required security products, monitor potential impacts, and resolve customer issues on a diverse network.
 

Basic Qualifications:
-4+ years of experience with working as an HBSS systems administrator for a DoD program
-Knowledge of configuration and maintenance of HBSS and McAfee point products, including McAfee Agent, DLP, Host Intrusion Prevention (HIP), Policy Auditor (PA), ACCM, and McAfee Viruscan Enterprise and AntiSpyware Enterprise
-Ability to manage, configure, and troubleshoot technical issues, reduce the number of rogue systems identified, update HBSS software and products, analyze ePO policies to enforce security requirements of the organization, and manage and report on network statistics 
-Secret clearance required
-BA or BS degree and 5 years of experience in a professional work environment or 11+ years of experience in a professional work environment in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
-DoD 8570–1M Technical IA Certification, including COMPTIA Security+
 

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with Windows 7, 2008 R2, and 2012, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5, 6, and 7, and Macintosh and Hewlett Packard UNIX (HP-UX) operating system platforms preferred
-Experience with configuration of ports, protocols, services, and firewall rules preferred
-Knowledge of DoD STIG and SRG, DIACAP, and RMF
-Knowledge of continuous monitoring risk scoring (CMRS)
-Knowledge of DoD Cybersecurity standards and policies
