Health Research and Science Consultant

Key Role:
Apply knowledge of the analysis process for the performance, procedures, and processes of complex health systems to improve both efficiency and effectiveness and address priority operational challenges. Contribute to the delivery of operational solutions and ongoing performance management to help achieve operational excellence, quality, and safety. Apply expertise to a spectrum of operational environments across the provider, payer, research, and life science and public health segments. Provide leadership and mentoring to junior employees. Contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly creative solutions. Act as leader on large programs or projects that affect the organization’s long-term goals and objectives. 

Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with team leadership for research health or science projects
-Experience with developing innovative programs and leading technical reports for senior officials, including government, including an emphasis on science policy
-Experience in forming relationships with key government staff, contributing to proposals, and developing whitepapers
-Knowledge of research or evaluation design, data collection, and analysis to show accomplishments or return on investment for scientific programs
-BA or BS degree in Biological Science

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with government agencies, including the Office of the Secretary-type agencies
-Experience in managing or working with senior-level task forces and working groups
-Experience with analyzing the management of budgets and financials for projects a plus
-Knowledge of large scientific programs, including precision medicine, infectious disease, and global health
-PhD degree in Biological Science or Biological or Science Policy preferred
