Healthcare Clinician Planner, Senior

Key Role:

Work across a variety of government sponsored healthcare systems, including Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Department of Defense (DoD). Examine existing healthcare delivery systems from a clinical perspective to develop long-term strategic planning for high-performing healthcare networks. Assist with providing various healthcare services, including inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care and rehabilitation services, primary care, mental health, and specialty care, tele-health care for appropriate patients and specialties, and population health analytics and reporting. Work across multiple locations and facilities and ensure efficient, effective, and equitable distribution of services across client networks and via purchased care, as appropriate. Work on delivery teams and with clients to conduct site visits and assess quality, patient satisfaction, accessibility, costs and facility condition, review relevant market data, review results with local and regional leadership, and make recommendations for market optimization plans and implementation.

Basic Qualifications:

-14+ years of experience with healthcare provider-focused work

-Experience with strategic healthcare planning

-Experience with working as a healthcare clinical provider, including as a nurse or physician

-Experience with providing healthcare consulting services to government or major commercial healthcare systems                                                          

-Ability to travel a minimum of 50% of the time to perform work-related tasks

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree in Clinical, Doctor of Medicine (MD), Registered Nurse, or Clinical Nurse Specialist or Certified Nurse Practitioner

Additional Qualifications: 

-Experience with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) desired

-Knowledge of the basic functions of a healthcare network and how they relate and impact stakeholders

-Ability to work well independently within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

-Ability to create and sustain strong client relationships

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
