Healthcare Project Manager

Key Role:

Provide program management leadership for an Acquisition Category (ACAT) I Major Automated Information System (MAIS) program for a Department of Defense (DoD) Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Lead a group of contract support on a variety of EHR special projects, including revenue cycle, Cerner Patient Accounting Module (CPAM), Coding Compliance Editor (CCE), and Armed Forces Billing and Collection Utilization Solution (ABACUS). Maintain responsibility for the development of executive briefings, compilation of program management reports, action item collection and monitoring, development of standard tracking and reporting tools for effective program management, and support a variety of special projects, as assigned. Manage and oversee staff work on schedule and risks for inclusion in program management tools. Facilitate team meetings, prepare presentations, coordinate team input and responses to short suspense taskers, and ensure effective communication across clients and support staff. Manage the development of key deliverables and develop executive-level reports, government briefings, and other support visualization products. Guide contract support staff to identify challenges, determine solutions, and make recommendations and quickly aid contract support in determining effective solutions to problems with minimal direction and in short time frames.


Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with project management

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

-Ability to effectively lead and direct the work of a team

-Ability to prepare and present executive-level reports, memos, and briefings to government leadership

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-MA or MS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in the DoD preferred

-Experience in civil or military healthcare preferred

-Ability to work and communicate with remote clients and team members effectively

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent problem-solving skills preferred

-Public Trust clearance

-Project Management Certification, including PMP preferred
