Help Desk Systems Administrator

Key Role:
Support the installation, testing, and sustainment of communication nodes, communications equipment, automated systems, workstations, laptops, and associated equipment for a US Marine Corps client. Provide help desk and deskside support for issues impacting the facility and multi-domain users, including hardware, software, and network connectivity. Provide subject matter expertise regarding the use and operability of common network navigation methodologies and operability of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and other baseline software products. Identify and communicate system problems due to system component connections, conduct sustaining support of networked systems, and pursue the resolution of facility and user support requests, including escalation of issues to internal and external entities. Contribute to larger information technology initiatives such as new hardware installation and configuration, hardware refresh, and asset inventory activity with systems administration and systems engineering personnel. Conduct configuration and support of mobile computing devices and commercial cell phone assets including configuration, modification, and maintenance. Support the coordination and operability of video teleconferences and associated audio/visual equipment and configurations.

Basic Qualifications:
-Experience in a desk side support role for a Windows-based environment
-Active TS/SCI clearance
-HS diploma or GED and 5+ years of experience with help desk or systems administration, AA or AS degree and 4+ years of experience with help desk or systems administration, or BA or BS degree and 3+ years of experience with help desk or systems administration
-IAT Level II Certification
-Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional Certification
