High Performance Computing Engineer

Key Role:

Support a research and development (R&D) program and coordinate with interagency partners to facilitate the design and support of a hybrid high-performance, on-premise, and Cloud computing environment. Maintain various HPC environments and other mission critical technology resources. Perform duties, including the installation, configuration, and support of hardware, operating systems, and system administrative applications for HPC and Linux infrastructures. Participate in the full software life cycle development, including the support of tools to manage software and environments across diverse HPC resources along with porting and deploying software applications and tools. Work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and challenging environment with a multitude of cutting-edge technologies.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with HPC, GPU, deep learning, server-less architectures, distributed systems, and service-oriented architecture

-Experience with HPC system administration or engineering, including parallel file systems, cluster management, job schedulers, and archival systems

-Experience with Cloud computing technologies, including AWS, Azure, or Bluemix

-Experience with project management and delivering oral and visual presentations in front of an audience

-Ability to research emerging technologies and evaluate their suitability for use in new designs
-Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities, procedures, and information technology tools

-TS/SCI clearance

-HS diploma or GED required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with transitioning technologies from R&D into a pilot operational environment

-Experience with DevOps process and support tools

-Knowledge of GEOINT technology and data

-Ability to facilitate and interact in a cross-functional team environment

-BA or BS degree preferred; MA or MS degree a plus
