High Power Radio Frequency Test and Evaluation Engineer

Key Role:

Design, develop, modify, and evaluate complicated and difficult hardware devices or systems. Maintain technical responsibility for analyzing the planning and conducting of technical process or phases of projects and coordinate the efforts of technical support personnel, drafters, technical writers, and electronics technicians, as required. Develop and recommend design approaches for new or improved products or processes. Consolidate the results of hardware design elements for assigned projects. Conduct independent technical investigations involving the origination or modification of material, component, or process specifications and requirements. Evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services, as needed. Provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed.


Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with Electromagnetic Theory, Radio Frequency (RF), or High Voltage (HV) design

-Experience with pulsed power or power electronics, high voltage capacitors, and power systems, including transformer design and DC to DC converters

-Experience with RF or High Power Microwave (HPM) testing chambers and diagnostics

-Experience with HPM systems designs, including HPM component and system development, such as vacuum electronics, high power transmission lines, solid state switching, and high-power antennas
-Experience with RF data acquisition and analysis

-Knowledge of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) practices and mitigation techniques, including grounding shielding

-Ability to support advanced technology development efforts in electronics, electromagnetics, and directed energy

-Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED


Additional Qualifications:

-MA or MS degree in EE preferred
