Host-Based Security System Administrator/SME

Key Role:

Provide professional host-based security system (HBSS) support, including HBSS system administration, system development, and onsite technical support, analyze the client environment, assess HBSS requirements, and assist with the installation, configuration, and technical administration of HBSS product components. Provide recommendations on compliance and assist with compliance with DoD security implementation guides (STIGs), HBSS architecture, and McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) server design and configuration guidance. Review and assess newly configured McAfee ePO services and assist with configuring application whitelisting. Review best practices for the implementation of McAfee products in the HBSS and advise the client on HBSS lessons learned and deployment best practices. Review and provide best practice recommendations for host intrusion prevention system (HIPS) deployment methodology to provide for DoD HBSS operation order (OPORD) compliance and maintain direct access to McAfee technical support and product development, the host intrusion prevention system (HIPS), asset baseline monitor (ABM), policy auditor (PA), rogue system detection (RSD), device control module (DCM), virus scan enterprise (VSE), application control, endpoint security (ENS), the threat intelligence exchange (TIE), data exchange layer (DXL), and McAfee Active Response (MAR). Resolve obstructions or impediments encountered during product implementation and interface with existing client security network architectures to avoid work stoppages or placing the client at risk of schedule slippage or increased cost.

Basic Qualifications:
-4 years of experience as an information assurance specialist
-Ability to work onsite in Fayetteville, NC
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree or 4 years of experience with HBSS

-8570 Level II Certification, including Security+ CE, Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), or CompTIA Advance Security Practitioner (CASP)

Additional Qualifications:
-Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
