HPEM Numerical Computational Scientist

Key Role:

Analyze, develop, and test numerical- and physics-based models and designs in support of the organization's research and development needs for High-Power Electromagnetics (HPEM). Analyze actual and predictable physical interactions to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision making through the application of logic and scientific disciplines and techniques. Apply basic principles, theories, and concepts to job assignments. Exhibit technical and operational proficiency for solving problems of moderate complexity. Contribute to the completion of projects and programs in area of expertise.


Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with numerical computational programming languages.

-Knowledge of applied physics concepts and theories required

-Ability to work within a professional, military environment

-Ability to obtain a security clearance required

-BA or BS degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field required


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with C++ or Python preferred

-Experience with Matlab or MathCAD

-Experience with Radio Frequency Fields and Waves, plasma physics, high-power electromagnetics, or high-power radio frequencies a plus

-Experience with the Military or as a government civilian a plus

-Active Secret clearance preferrred
