Human Capital and Workforce Planning Consultant

Key Role:

Apply consulting expertise in and knowledge of organizational composition, workforce management, and workforce deployment in the execution of assignments, focusing on workforce planning and workforce analysis. Leverage and improve upon various workforce planning, workforce forecasting, workforce deployment, and workforce management methodologies for non-defense civil federal organizations. Organize and lead tasks, projects, and teams of staff, while ensuring the quality of client deliverables. Interpret results from multiple organizational components and data sources and conduct the analysis and synthesis necessary to translate these findings into clear and compelling recommendations and solutions, including long-range workforce plans. Demonstrate knowledge of industry and market trends in providing recommendations to clients based on best practices in the field of workforce planning and workforce analysis. Provide solutions to highly complex and ambiguous issues, apply advanced consulting expertise in the field, and serve as a mentor to junior staff.

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with conducting strategic or operational workforce planning, including workforce demand analysis and workforce supply analysis

-Experience in strategic planning, including helping to articulate the potential workforce requirements associated with possible future scenarios

-Ability to be self-motivated and multi-task with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment

-Ability to synthesize and analyze multiple views and data sets

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in the health industry

-Experience with direct client service

-Knowledge of federal human resources policies and processes

-Possession of excellent time management, organizational, leadership, analysis, and data-gathering skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MA or MS degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field
