Human Geographer, Senior

Key Role:
Analyze the interconnections between people and places, including the spatial and temporal patterns of human activities in the context of the environment. Develop and implement the processes to incorporate human geography data and analysis to expand the comprehension of the human dimension impacting intelligence issues. Serve as a key component to integrated work teams by promoting and enabling greater comprehension and awareness of the cultural, linguistic, and human geography context within our foundational content. Leverage geospatial analysis using ArcGIS, open source research, and cultural, regional, and linguistic expertise to create geospatial intelligence products and foundation data in support of a national agency client.

Basic Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience as a human geographer, human terrain analyst, demographer, or socio-cultural analyst
-Experience with Geographical Information Systems (GIS), including ArcGIS
-Experience with research methodologies, library sciences, or open source tradecraft
-Experience with digital cartography, remote sensing, regional accounts, or imagery
-Experience with commercial and government exploitation tools, including ArcMap, Arc View, Remote View, or GeoMedia
-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

-Ability to show cultural, regional, or linguistic expertise
-TS/SCI clearance
-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:
-Knowledge of NGA’s geospatial policies, including international policy, co-production, and dissemination of data
-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
-BA or BS degree preferred; MA or MS degree a plus
