Hypersonic Engineer Support SME

Key Role:

Serve as an onsite and reach–back support Advanced Subject Matter Expert for Hypersonic Engineering, including architecture and technical analysis for a DoD client’s Hypersonic Defense program team. Maintain responsibility for orchestrating, advising, developing, and contributing to the development of defense architectures, analysis supporting kill chain components, including detection, sensor, weapon, and kill assessment, and alternatives for future programs. Support various technical interchange forums working with other government, quasi–government organizations, including FFRDCs, and the industrial base for a Missile Defense Agency (MDA) team.  Support the contract program manager and task lead in leading a technical and programmatic team of contract personnel providing client interface and report to clients and senior team leadership. 


Basic Qualifications:

-15+ years of experience in the missile development fields with at least 5 years of those years of experience in Hypersonic vehicles

-Experience in a system engineering role with complex weapons systems design, fielding, or deployment, including architecture, technical and programmatic, and performance definition and assessment

-Experience with office software

-Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe

-Ability to work and lead in a team environment

-Secret clearance required

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with providing technology assessments of concepts, systems, and associated architectures

-Knowledge of the Missile Defense Agency Ballistic Missile Defense System, its elements and programs, and general organizational structure

-Knowledge of Hypersonic unique structures, aerodynamic characteristics, materials, and trajectories.  

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MA or MS degree preferred


Clearance:
